When your job requires a dress uniform, you need to look sharp and make a good impression. The smooth, high-shine leather of these classic oxfords won’t let you down. The removable EVA footbed with polyurethane heel pad means you can stand or walk for hours in comfort. An oil- and slip-resisting blown rubber outsole with non-marking tread means you won’t leave evidence of where you’ve been. Durable cement construction make this leather shoe a classic uniform choice.

The first pair I bought I would rate 5 stars. I got a couple of years of constant wear out of them and they were extremely comfortable. The soles finally wore to the point where I needed to replace them. I ordered the same model and size. The new shoes are narrower and don’t appear to be made exactly like my old pair. I am hoping that they will break in and become as comfortable as the last pair but I can’t give them over 3 stars yet.

Excellent shoe. And there’s no better deal. You’d pay more than twice for Red Wing postman oxfords. I am hard on my shoes. They are in the mud, slush and concrete and dust. They’re subject to scuffs and scrapes daily. Rarely do I have time to clean them and shine them. Tough for dress shoe!

The last pair I had lasted 2 years. Doesn’t sound long? A typical crossover black shoe like a New Balance will last for 3 months on my feet, and give me back pain. Yup…90 days before my heals go through to the outer sole. Typical Nunbush dress shoe? 6 months before all the stitches start to pop out, and soles are worn and letting water in. A pair of leather Docker dress shoes? Soles worn out inside of 12 months, and the footbed and inner are already collapsed–like stepping on plywood. Not good for the back or legs!

The upper still looks good, but Thorogood won’t offer a resole on these. What a wasteful shame, Weinbrenner!

These shoes don’t last AT ALL. They peel on the top and sides and the sole
Eventually becomes separated from the from of the shoe. I would definitely NOT buy them unless they were the shoe required by their high school.

From an overall comfort level, this shoe has performed decently and that’s worth one star. I wear them 6 days a week for about 8-10 hours a day and they are as comfortable at the end of the day as when I first put them on. However, the durability is NOT what I would have expected from Thorogood. Granted, I am not a lightweight, but after about four weeks the heels began to show wear not only on the outer edge from the way I roll my heel, but the inner edge where I would not have expected it so soon. Now, seven months after first purchasing them, the there is considerable sole wear at the heel as well as undue wear at the toe pivot point/ball. Even more disappointing, the leather has begun to crack and separate along the circumference line from the ball. Yes, the adage is true, you get what you pay for and I thought I was paying for a good quality shoe, though it is the less expensive model of uniform oxford. I did NOT expect to have paid for a shoe that would not even last a year. This was definitely a waste of my money.
