A bird in hand is worth two in the bush. Don’t miss your shot due to tired, wet feet in heavy boots clogged with mud. These 8″ Built in the USA Flyway boots exceed the avid upland bird hunter’s requirements: Cushioned removable footbed for all-day comfort, breathable X-Stream Waterproof® membrane to keep your feet dry and blister-free, a rubber midsole for shock absorption with every step, and Goodyear welt construction for years of durable wear. Tailor-made for the upland bird hunter’s needs, the simple yet effective “cellular wedge” directional pattern of the lightweight outsole resists mud and slipping so you can flush and shoot with confidence all day long.

I ordered these from amazon. They seemed to fit perfectly when I first tried them on except some fiddling required with the tongues. I walked around the house for a few minutes and commented to my wife that these were the best feeling boots I’d ever warn. Then, about 15 min later, after walking all over the house, the tongue folds began to grind into the inside portion of my ankle bones on both boots. I loosened them and tried again…soon the same problem. I took these to two shoe repair shops to see if there was something that could be done. Only one had a potential remedy that he would not guarantee(removing part of the tongue to eliminate the fold).
Neither thought the problem would go away with time. I loved these boots in every other way. In comparing them to my old Chinese made Irish setters of similar design, I see that they us a fabric piece in that section of the tongue and there is no protrusion to irritate my ankle. In every other way the Irish setters are not half the boot, but I can wear them. Unfortunately I can’t wear these so, I’m sending these back and not reordering unless someone from that factory can assure me that I must have received a defective set.
