I walked in the Village Shoe Service in Tucker, Ga knowing the virus shutdown had to be hard on everyone. Larry had always helped my wife with a dragging foot problem and he has put so many soles on my old Merrill hiking boots. larry, I need some new hiking boots. He said 9 -9 1/2 right. They seem great. My wife Alison saw the Made in the USA and found the UFCW888 crew paper signed by
Sue, Jason, Tirra, Joyce, Joline, and Greg, she said I had to write and say THANKS USA! We are proud of you. We know we will get to the other side of this terrible time with our God’s help by all of our country pulling on one rope. If I can get loose to take a trip we will put your town on a destination list.

Sole is flaking away. I’ve never seen anything like this on any footwear I have ever had in my entire life. Too bad paying way too much for ‘Made in USA’ is not worth it. I wonder if this boot design is able to be resoled?

Found these in our local Farm & Fleet and frankly did not know of the brand until seeing them in the store. The sales people were fantastic but I could not choose between 13 and 14 sizes, so just kept trying them on and ended up with the 14. For a true work boot it has an excellent fit and the leather is very compliant as well as the sole with that fantastic insert. Laces were perfectly sized and have been wearing them every chance I get. The fit is great and the quality is just plain excellent. Looking forward to my next pair of Thorogoods.

My first Thorogood boots; bought do to “guaranteed” comfortable fit and return policy. Have now worn daily for seven months; most of my wear is for casual versus working purposes. Can’t say enough good things about these boots, fit, comfort, traction (snow & rain); I keep the boots polished versus mink oil. Have not had any problem with the boots – no sole delamination, stitching, etc. Previous boots were well known brand and worked well, just not as comfortable right out-of-the-box; these, no break-in period. Put-on and GO! No looking for a second pair with steel toes for working in the woods, gentleman farming, etc.

Just purchased a pair of these as on the onsite they feel very comfortable right out of the box. There are no seams that dig into your toes when you bend your foot as you step. A little concern at this point due to the metal tag they on the outside of each boot. That tag sits right on the ankle bone. If you lace em snug you can defentantly feel that steel tag. May look into doing surgery and try to remove it.

  6. Michael

Comfortable at first, boots only lasted about 6 months before soles started to peel away. Also soles were completely worn to nothing in that same time. Wish I still had reciept

I’ve been wearing the OMNI™ Series – Waterproof – 6″ Brown Plain Toe 814-3266 boots for about 3-1/2 years now in heavy industrial environment and the soles simply wore down to near nothing, can’t expect more than that. I just bought a new pair of the same boot yesterday and looking forward to wearing them for 3 years as well. They may be expensive but are extremely comfortable even working 12 hours a day 7 days a week walking 15 miles a day. If you take care of your boots they will take care of you!

I have had these boots for three weeks now and I’m very satisfied with the comfort and looks.

The quality of the leather used is very good and the lining of the inside (stitching, padding, etc) is also top quality. The provided insole is very comfortable and seems as comfortable as 3rd party insoles you buy elsewhere. The break-in period was relatively short and the boot feels better the more I wear it. Laces are a bit short, but overall the boot provides good stability and the sole provides a decent grip on varying terrain.

The only issue I’ve had so far is that on the side of the sole of one of the boots, there is a large round bit of melted rubber. The first pair of Omni boots I bought had a deep melted spot and was so deep that I did not trust the integrity of the sole to hold up and I returned it. Unfortunately, the same issue was found on a second pair of boots (purchased from a different online vendor), same spot but not as bad (so I decided to keep this pair). I’m assuming this is a manufacturing issue associated with this style of boot and very surprised it made it past quality control before being packaged up. I emailed Thorogood’s customer support asking if this was a known problem or condition and the only reply I got was if I thought it was a problem, I need to work with the reseller for an exchange or refund (unfortunately, the return/exchange window is long over).

I’m impressed by the look and feel of the boots, but not so much of the quality control and response by Thorogood to ensure this boot is up to the high quality they advertise and that this boot will last, especially for the price.

Great boot! Definitely waterproof and comfortable right out of the box. Happy to support an American company and the American worker.

  11. Johnny Weaver

Xtreme waterproof is exactly what they are, boots in general are very hard to find these days for me anyway and these boots are the best I have worn in years, I got another pair that I use to work in on concrete floors 10 hours a day & my feet feel great when I get off work! Hope that I will be able to purchase these in the future when these wear out!

  12. Keith Winters

Awesome comfortable boot no break in period. Take them out of the box, put them on and go. If I get more than 6 months out of them, they will be worth it

  13. Tony b

I’ve had these boots for a couple of weeks and so far they are by far the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had I hope they hold up I will definitely buy another pair

  14. Robert

Ditto to all the good reviews. Fit comfort great, how long they last we will see.

  15. John M.

I’ve had my boots for about four months and they are the most comfortable boot I’ve ever owned over a 50-year span of time. The boots fit from the first day, and I wear them everyday – they are my “go-to” footwear for all occasions – farm chores, to the beach, with shorts, and even to church in a casual mode. I should probably get a second pair!

  16. Len

I’ve worn many different brands of work boots over my many years. I must say these have been the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned. I have not had to use them too mush outside and they have held up very well. I would buy them again.

  17. Daniel Granzow

I have had my pair for a year now and I can say they are very comfortable. I will be getting another pair. They have been holding up very well and I ware them every day in a auto factory.

  18. Matt crawley

Only about 3 weeks now but so far I love these boots. Super comfortable and I’m a union plumber so I like that ther union made in USA. I be en a red wing guy for. 15 years and made the swirch

  19. Ryan

Most comfortable boot I’ve put on, but the soles wore out on me within 5-6 months.

  20. Greg Williams

Very comfortable boot. I am a aircraft mechanic and I live on concrete 12 hours a day. The uppers still look good and are wearing good, the soles not so much almost worn out after 6 months. Cannot justify over $200 for a pair of boots that the soles wont last over a year. Probably will not buy another pair

  21. Lyle I

I have used these boots every day for a couple weeks now and can honestly say they are the most comfortable boots I have EVER had. So far they have stood up to everything I have thrown at them. I am a Diesel Mechanic and I am in all kinds of weather and at this time I am VERY VERY happy with them……..
